How does it work?

Thetravelhunters.com is an online travel marketplace where travel agencies and individuals who have deep knowledge of their locality, specialized in experiences can have them sold. As a brand, we constantly invest in tourism promotion across the continent. At the core of thetravelhunters experiences is creating tours that connect people deeply with the places they are visiting ensuring that the experiences are indeed memorable and experiential. We do this by taking an approach that ensures tour operators have detailed operational format with quality checks ensuring all experiences are the best irrespective of the locations. At the helm of our affairs is orientation for all our travel operators.

What are the requirements and qualifications for getting my tour approved?
At thetravelhunters, we believe in processes and planning. Tours are vetted and explained to the experience team to ensure we have full understanding of the experience you are creating for customers including their safety and what the desired experience is. Once we have a full understanding and it meets our safety and experience benchmark, we will have it approved shortly. Before a tour operator is approved, all documents must be certified to be original and correct. Provide high quality information that enable people to make decisions on each tour. Itineraries should be as detailed and straight-forward to guide travelers through every path of the journey so as to make the best decisions that suite them. All boxes must be filled and explained in clear terms for the customer to understand. Cancellation policy and refund also must be provided.
How long does it take to have my tour approved?
Typically tours are approved within 3 -18 hours. Immediately tours are approved, you can start receiving bookings for your tours.
How do I manage my bookings?
You receive notifications via the Tour Management software and in your emails - coming soon. This keeps you updated when you have bookings and also payments that are made into your account. Managing your tour is easy and tools are provided to enable this. Need more help/features, please reach out to our customer support team. We have an analytics tool that will be up coming soon so you can see what the result of every tour looks like.
How long does it take to receive payment?
It is important that you fill in your account details to ensure payment is made without hinges. Payments are made in timely succession as soon as customers make payment for the tours. Payout for Tour organizations is prioritized and so we ensure quick payment. Thetravelhunters is not a financial institution and will not be held liable for payment not received after payment has been made with proof of payment.
What is the Commission structure for tours?
We have varying pricing models for every tour size and varying pricing for the Cruise Tour segment. The general commission rate for tours of various group sizes is 50 people and above - 4.5% per booking 10- 49 people - 5% per booking 6-9 people - 8% per booking 1-5 people - 10% per booking
For Cruise Tours;
We charge a flat fee of 10% per booking, irrespective of the group size.
Any conditions for operations and termination of contract?
Conditions for engagement and termination of contract are spelt out on "Terms and conditions of agreement" sheets which will be provided.
Do I need to be compliant with my country or local regulations?
Yes, it is important that you maintain compliance with local regulations and license that may be required of you to operate as a tour operator/guide. Thetravelhunters license does not cover for any license required of you.
